Mission brief
Problem
Spending started in a 14-sheet expense tracker while balance and income lived in a separate overview workbook. As the workflow grew, the real gaps became ingestion, direct-debit reconciliation, recurring-cost drift, and ad hoc questions that Excel could not answer safely.
Role
Solo builder across product framing, authenticated data model, Supabase RLS, parser behavior, email ingestion, reconciliation math, responsive UI, read-only assistant architecture, and the interactive deck export that presents the system as a self-contained case study.
Outcome
A private production dashboard where transactions, balance, income, pending email rows, fixed costs, and settings are stored once; budget position, saved-this-month, savings trends, reconciliation gaps, recurring suggestions, and assistant answers are computed from deterministic server-side facts.
